When you open the picture in your program you need to go to Save As... if you use Windows Picture and Fax viewer this is actually at the bottom of the screen with all the buttons (its the little disk and says %26quot;copy%26quot;). If it is almost any other program it will be under File. When you get the little box to save it there should be a drop down menu below where you would name the file. Just find the file type you want to use in there. How do you change the picture format?

Open ur picture in paintbrush and SAVE AS jpg. U can use photo editor or any other software to do soHow do you change the picture format?
Get yourself software like Paintshop Pro or Adobe Photoshop and simply open the image and save it in a different format. My advice would be to try getting Adobe Portable, since you are spending money anyway. Adobe Portable allows you to use Adobe Photoshop from a jump drive or a disk and it doesn't have to be installed on the computer you are using it on.How do you change the picture format?

If you have a picture editing program such as Adobe Photoshop, or Paintshop Pro you open it from in there and go to File-Save As and in the File type box at the bottom of the dialog box, click the down arrow and choose jpeg. The program will convert it for you. If you don't have any editing software you can probably download a trial from either www.adobe.com or search for a free one...I went to www.ask.com and put in %26quot;free photo editing software%26quot; in the search and this one looks ok, though I use Jasco Paintshop Pro or Adobe myself.
