what you need to do is re-assign the program that opens your JPG files, which is a J Peg or jpeg file...
and can be done with any file format..
right click on the image file.
select properties..
look where it says Opens with..
accros from where it says that select change...
and then will come a list of programs..
select Windows Picture and fax viewer, which is the defalt for the windows operating system...
and if you dont have that option, open it with the program that you do know, that can handle images..

You can manipulate pictures easily with this software. I use it to resize pictures I'm posting on the web. By resizing the picture and then saving it (best saving it with a different file name) you'll find that the size is greatly reduced. My camera is set to its maximum resolution; when I resize photos to 1024x768 for the web, most of the JPG files end up about 200Kb. Another free software that does this type of thing but has many more %26quot;touch up%26quot; features for photos is Googe's Picasa.
Try either of the free softwares before going out and buying Photoshop Elements (which is quite comparable to either of the two free programs I mentioned) for $80-$90 on line. I am trying to create a jewelry creation page where it shows a blank necklace and views can change the options to create a customized necklace and send that information to my e-mail. databases:OK, CGI:OK, SQL: OK, Javascipt:OK I can use any of these on my server, please help I have been trying to figure this out for three weeks the furthest I got was a form. lolHow do I create a webpage that has options that change pictures in a certain pattern?
Hmm... interesting problem. You'll have to use JavaScript for the visual part - changing the necklace and such. Then you'll have to save the changed necklace to the request object before making further changes. I'd suggest a multi-page application where each change the user makes represents one page. When the user clicks OK for that aspect of the necklace, send the changed aspect as a parameter to the next page. After making a bunch of changes, the user arrives at a page with the finished necklace, and an option to submit. The URL for this page would be something like:

I have a brand new computer and I've been trying to change my picture position. For some reason it only saves in stretch mode, it won't save in fill, fit, tile or center.

You have to activate your profile. To do that, go to your Yahoo! Answers profile, and then click on “Edit My Info”. You will see three boxes, one of which says “Use My Profile Picture” underneath. It should have a picture of your avatar in it. Click the link underneath the picture that says “Edit My Profile Image”. Or, if this is too difficult to comprehend, go to http://profiles.yahoo.com.
Once you set up the profile, after being asked to fill out some information (i.e., your name), you will be taken to a page that should be displaying your avatar, unless you haven’t made one. Click on “Change Photo” at the bottom of the picture display, slightly to the right, next to a hyperlink that says “Edit Profile”. You will see a pop-up line that has two options: “Add Photo” and “Customize Avatar”. To upload a photo, click on “Add Photo”. You will see a line that has a button that says “Browse”. Find the picture you want to upload, click “Upload”, and then crop it to size. To use a photo as your primary, or display photo, select the one you want: the Yahoo! Avatar, no picture or the uploaded picture. Then click on “Use Selected Photo”.
NOTE: The picture you upload MUST be under 5MB, and it MUST be in the JPG or PNG format.
To get it to show up…
1. Go to your profile
