How do I change my profile picture?

Someone IM'd me and said the pic next to the dialogue box was a female sitting on a chair. I don't know where a pic like that came from. I haven't even created an avatar. How do I change the picture?How do I change my profile picture?

? Click the ''extras'' tab to try out accessories like sunglasses. sports and hobbies gear such as backpacks, bikes, and snowboards. Adopt a cute pet. Or try different hats.



? Click the %26quot;Backgrounds%26quot; tab if you like the snow, the beach, or a nightclub.



Once you've customized your avatar, don't forget to scroll down to the bottom of the Profile page and press %26quot;Preview%26quot;, and then %26quot;OK%26quot; in the next screen. And your done.

TO GET A PHOTO/CUSTOM PICTURE AS YOUR AVATAR.

If you want a photo/custom picture as your avatar you need to make a ''My Yahoo!'' account.

The photo/image needs to be saved on your computer as a jpg file. Then go to the following 4 steps. below



? Go to your ''My Yahoo!'' page then click %26quot;my page”.



? Click %26quot;in your picture%26quot; (on the left above photo window).



? Click ''Change my photo'' choose the photo from your photos click ''Use selected photo''.



? Go to your ''edit my profile'' http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit click use my ''My yahoo picture'' scroll down and press ''preview'', and then %26quot;OK%26quot; in the next screen.

And your done.



Yahoo engineers are still working on improvements throughout all yahoo sites and some avatars may be slow to show (it could even be a day or so) so try to be patient.
